Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living at the West End in Richmond, VA is hiring a full-time housekeeper earning $15–$17 per hour. The role includes cleaning resident areas, floors, carpets, and rooms, with safety as a priority and opportunities for benefits.

Walk-In-Wednesday events offer onsite interaction with departments to explore joining the team. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean, safe environment, reporting repairs, and supporting dining and activity spaces as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• High school graduate or equivalent credentials preferred.
• Minimum of one year of housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions with established procedures as assigned.
• Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies.
• Clean floors, to include sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing and disinfecting.
• Clean carpets, to include vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting.
• Clean and polish furnishings in hallways and in stairways/elevators if applicable.
• Clean resident rooms and bathrooms, including vacuuming, mopping, disinfecting and sanitizing.
