Job summary

Evergreen Life Services is seeking a Home Director I to oversee the operations of a six-bed community home under the supervision of the Program Supervisor. The role includes managing staff, scheduling, payroll documentation, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The position requires at least a high school diploma or GED, CMA certification within two years, and several years of direct support with supervisory experience. Strong organization and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred.
• CMA certification within two years of being in Home Director position.
• Three years of direct support experience and some supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate well both in written and oral forms.
• Good organizational skills with an eye for detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a high pressure environment.
• Must be adaptable and have good decision-making skills.
• Working knowledge of basic computer applications, with the aptitude to learn additional software and programs.

Responsibilities

• Directs the entire operations and programming of a six bed community home.
• Oversees the work performance of all direct care staff.
• Develop staff schedule and publish.
• Collect, assimilate, approve, and submit all appropriate documentation for payroll processing.
• Complete annual performance evaluation.
• Ensure compliance with standards for annual survey and administer discipline as required.
• Schedule medical appointments and activities for individuals served.
• Maintain finances within assigned budget and manage petty cash.
