East Bay Community Action Program is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant in Newport to support clinical and administrative operations. You will greet patients, take vital signs, document in EMR, and assist in labs and tests under supervision.

Ideal candidates have MA training, a high school diploma, and BLS. Bilingual in Portuguese or Spanish and EMR experience are preferred; multiple HRSA and health program collaborations may require flexibility across sites.

Qualifikationen

• Experience or completion of a medical assistant internship.
• High School Diploma/equivalent and accredited MA program completion.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Knowledge of medical office procedures and culturally sensitive care.

Aufgaben

• Greet patients and protect confidentiality to ensure a comfortable visit.
• Take vital signs and collect medical and social histories for review.
• Document patient information accurately in the EMR system.
• Assist with labs, EKGs, audiometry, and other tests per provider.
• Coordinate care with internal and external providers and facilities.
