Job summary

Community Health Centers of the Central Coast, Inc. (CHCCC) seeks a Medical Assistant to support the Medical department.

The MA will perform non‑professional clinical duties, operate medical and laboratory equipment, assist with patient care, and help maintain efficient clinic operations. Under supervision, the MA provides high‑quality, compassionate care to patients across sites, handles clerical tasks, and ensures accurate documentation in the EMR system while adhering to HIPAA and safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program or CMA/RMA certification.
• Minimum one year of recent medical assisting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care and exam preparation.
• Administer medications as ordered by Providers.
• Take vitals, immunizations screening, and essential health maintenance notes in EMR.
• Maintain clean, safe patient areas and proper infection control.
