Job summary

Community Health Centers of the Central Coast (CHCCC) seeks a Medical Assistant to support patient care under the Health Center Manager and Clinic Services Supervisor. The MA performs clinical duties, operates equipment, administers medications per orders, and helps manage patient flow.

Duties include vitals, immunizations screening, CLIA-waived tests, EMR documentation, and coordination of referrals. HIPAA compliance, safety, and professional conduct are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CMA/RMA certification or CA board approved cert required.
• Minimum one year of recent MA experience preferred.
• EKG, vital signs, venipuncture and injections experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in assigned Patient Care Team duties.
• Administers medications per Provider orders; consults with Provider/RN as needed.
• Performs vitals and determines need for immunizations and preventative care.
• Conducts CLIA waived tests and documents results in EMR.
• Supports referrals and tracks patient care in medical records.
