Job summary

Almost Family CA, LLC is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and community in the San Diego area. You will help clients build independent living skills and participate fully in everyday activities.

This part-time role offers $21.00–$23.00 per hour (DOE) with the potential to move into full time. Responsibilities include following IPP plans, maintaining notes, ensuring safety, and

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to pass DOJ/FBI Live Scan background clearance
• Valid California driver’s license, reliable transportation
• Ability to use a smartphone or tablet for documentation
• Reliable, punctual, professional

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered support aligned with IPP
• Assist with independent living skills (cooking, cleaning, budgeting, shopping, scheduling, organization)
• Support community participation including employment supports, appointments, recreation, and volunteering
• Assist with personal care as authorized (hygiene, grooming, mobility support)
• Follow behavior support and safety plans
• Accurately complete daily documentation, goal tracking notes, and incident reports
• Communicate professionally with supervisors and team members
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold client rights at all times
