Job summary

Rochester Gas & Electric Corp. seeks a Municipal & Community Relations Manager in Rochester, NY. You will serve as the lead contact to municipal officials, community groups, and agencies, advancing company initiatives and emergency readiness.

You will coordinate with county emergency operations, pursue economic development, and manage sponsorships across local organizations to strengthen the company brand. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 6+ years of relevant experience preferred, or Associate’s Degree with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Direct interaction with government, business and community leaders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to speak to multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage outreach with municipal, county and state officials and community organizations.
• Coordinate with emergency operations directors for compliance and preparedness.
• Lead economic development proposals to attract new business and increase revenue.
• Represent the company in local civic and business organizations to build brand.
• Evaluate nonprofit sponsorships and manage corporate donations and volunteer programs.
• Organize company sponsored employee volunteer events and recognition ceremonies.
