Job summary

ROCHESTER GAS & ELEC CORP in Rochester, NY is seeking a Manager - Communications Senior Director to lead communications programs that support business objectives, operations, customers, employees, and external stakeholders.

You will develop plans and materials, manage media relations, employee communications, digital content, and community-facing communications while maintaining messaging and brand standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications or related field with 7+ years of experience in corporate communications.
• Experience developing and editing press materials, including releases, Q&A, and executive messaging.
• Strong writing, editing, presentation, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive communications strategies for issues management and customer engagement.
• Provide strategic counsel to NY leadership on rapid response and reputation management.
• Lead media relations, crisis communications, and executive communications.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure aligned enterprise messaging.
• Serve as authorized spokesperson for RG&E, NYSEG, and Avangrid as needed.
• Support storm and emergency communications following incident command protocols.
• Oversee multimedia content for digital and social channels.
• Collaborate with external agencies and vendors to ensure high-quality support.
