Job summary

ROCHESTER GAS & ELEC CORP is seeking a senior leader to supervise safety, operations, and financial performance of Electric Transmission & Distribution, Planning & Projects, and Hydroelectricity Ops within RG&E and NYSEG jurisdictions.

The role partners with Avangrid leadership to drive long-term operational plans, budgets, and CLCPA initiatives while ensuring regulatory compliance and robust customer service. Strong leadership and strategic skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field required.
• 15+ years in electric transmission/distribution operations or related roles.
• Knowledge of federal/state regulations, safety and compliance policies.
• Proven ability to lead large teams and manage budgets.
• Strong communication and stakeholder relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement annual business and 5-year CAPEX plans for Electric Distribution.
• Oversee budgeting, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Direct operations to meet safety, reliability, and customer service goals.
• Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with Avangrid leadership.
• Support climate and regulatory goals and drive process improvements.
