Job summary

The Southeast Alabama Regional Planning and Development Commission (SEARPDC) seeks a Bus Driver I - Part-Time to transport riders and support daily transit operations. Responsibilities include pre-trip inspections, fare collection, and maintaining logs to ensure safe routes and reliable service across the SEARPDC region.

Entry-level position requiring a high school diploma and valid Alabama driver’s license; training in lift, wheelchair safety, and CPR may be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Alabama driver’s license required.
• Lift and wheelchair safety and driver training are required or may be provided.

Responsibilities

• Transport riders according to schedules and routes.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Collect fares and maintain fare documentation.
• Maintain daily logs and complete required paperwork.
• Attend scheduled driver training and CPR/First Aid sessions.
