Mercantile Bank is seeking a full-time Teller for the Dexter Ionia branch to support accurate, customer-centered service. You will prepare your station, greet customers, and balance your drawer while guiding customers to the right next steps, including appointments for accounts or loan needs.

The role emphasizes adherence to policies and regulations, while working with teammates to keep daily branch tasks on track and deliver excellent service.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service, communication, and teamwork.
• Accurate cash handling and data entry/typing skills.
• Ability to prioritize and perform well in a fast-paced environment.
• Personal mobile device required for system sign-in and emergency procedures.

Responsabilités

• Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing within established procedures.
• Maintain and balance a cash drawer daily with strong attention to detail.
• Use 360 View to identify needs, pursue cross-sell opportunities, and make appropriate referrals.
• Promote self-service options, support concierge/Live ATM (if applicable), and assist with appointment setting.
• Remain alert to fraud indicators and educate customers as needed.
• Complete required training on time and follow all laws, regulations, and bank policies.
