Job summary

Mountain America Credit Union in Utah is seeking a Retail Mortgage Loan Officer (RMLO) to proactively solicit new residential mortgage loans and cross-sell CU mortgage products. The role involves significant outside marketing and collaboration with MLO I & II mentors.

You will assess borrower needs, guide them through the loan process, and maintain strong relationships with real estate professionals and partners to achieve production goals.

Qualifications

• 2 years professional experience in a progressive financial lending setting. Mortgage experience preferred.
• Minimum high school diploma or educational equivalent is required. A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop network of outside referrals for mortgage lending opportunities.
• Develop mortgage lending opportunities by being involved in the community to promote home ownership.
• Respond to member inquiries and referrals from CU channels.
• Conduct interviews with borrowers to analyze financial data and financing objectives.
• Meet with members and borrowers during various stages of the lending process.
• Provide accurate loan program information and complete loan packaging.
