Job summary

Mountain America Credit Union is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to convert mortgage leads from multiple sources into closed loans. You will review eligibility, collect complete applications, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely processing.

The role requires regulatory knowledge (RESPA, Reg Z), strong communication, and attention to detail to guide members through the loan process.

Qualifications

• Strong ability to review borrower information and determine loan options.
• Experience with mortgage loan processing and underwriting processes.

Responsibilities

• Reviews leads as assigned and determines eligibility and loan options.
• Takes complete loan applications and forwards to corporate within 24 hours.
• Operates Encompass LOS and analyzes credit reports and AUS.
• Orders title reports, appraisals, and analyzes title insurance and appraisals.
• Interprets income documents and calculates debt ratios.
• Attends loan closings and maintains contract deadlines.
