Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited school.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Proactively provides customer service.
• Interviews, researches, and answers questions from patrons.
• Assists in developing and maintaining a high quality collection based on community needs.
• Evaluates materials and withdraws according to library guidelines.
• Initiates development and implementation of adult, teen, and children’s programs to increase awareness of library resources.
• Recommends materials based on patrons’ interests.
• Provides programs, presentations and training to patrons and organizations.
• Assists patrons with basic troubleshooting of common software and devices.
• Performs duties of Library Associate, Storytime Associate and Circulation Assistant, as needed.
