Hope Network in Lapeer, MI is seeking a Direct Support Professional to support individuals in achieving independence and community integration. The role covers daily living assistance, mobility support, health monitoring, and active participation in social activities.

The DSP provides compassionate, reliable care, maintains accurate documentation, and collaborates with medical and care teams to implement plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid State of Michigan driver’s license.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to become certified in CPR/First Aid.
• Shift Full-Time / Part Time including weekends and holidays.
• Possess basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor safety 24/7 with checks as needed.
• Support crisis prevention, intervention, and resolution.
• Build trustful relationships through consistent communication.
• Help individuals participate in community and social activities.
• Assist with activities of daily living and transportation needs.
• Monitor vitals and relay medical information accurately.
• Assist in reading and implementing care plans and documenting actions.
• Encourage community participation and career/educational goals.
