Job summary

Atria Senior Living is seeking a Community Business Director to lead the community's business office, oversee billing, payroll, and benefits, and supervise front desk staff. You’ll ensure accurate resident data, oversee accounts receivable, and support budgetary decisions in a collaborative team environment.

The role requires accounting/finance experience, strong leadership, and knowledge of employment laws, with responsibility for monthly close and operational analysis in a senior living

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and 2+ years in business office functions
• 3–5 years in business office management, finance or accounting preferred
• Knowledge of general accounting, billing and collections and expense management
• Knowledge of federal/state employment laws; clear verbal and written communication
• Experience in performance management and budget variance reporting
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and office equipment

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the community business office functions and serve as primary resource for resident/family and staff inquiries
• Oversee accounts receivable, billing accuracy, vendor payments and expenses
• Coordinate payroll data and employee benefits; explain benefit options to staff
• Maintain resident data, demographics and billing information; ensure statement accuracy
• Lead month-end close processes with the Executive Director and analyze operating results
• Supervise front desk/clerical staff including scheduling, performance reviews and discipline
