Job summary

Avanath Capital Management, LLC in Chicago seeks a seasoned Community/Property Manager to oversee a residential community. You will manage resident relations, respond to concerns, and work with senior leadership to ensure financial health and compliance with LIHTC standards.

You will lead on-site operations, budgets, and staffing, while driving leasing and revenue growth and maintaining a strong, professional presence with residents and team members.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in the property management industry.
• 2+ years of experience as a community/property manager.
• Demonstrated ability to diffuse and respond to resident concerns, avoiding escalation.
• Proven effective and efficient leadership experience.
• Knowledge of LIHTC and Tax Credit qualifications required.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Capacity to interact effectively with senior executives.
• Ability to work well under time and other constraints.
• Professional presentation and appearance.
• Familiarity and ability with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), internet, and email

Responsibilities

• Oversee resident relations and customer service throughout life-cycle from move-in to move-out.
• Maintain secure, confidential resident files and ensure compliance.
• Prepare and manage budgets, rent rolls, projections, and occupancy goals.
• Monitor financial health of the community and report to leadership.
• Lead on-site operations, including vendor relationships and maintenance oversight.
• Drive marketing, leasing, and revenue growth; aim for minimal delinquency.
• Foster teamwork and ongoing staff development through feedback and training.
