Job summary

The City of Redmond Parks and Recreation Department seeks a welcoming Customer Experience Representative to support consistent guest experiences at multiple City sites. This supplemental, fixed schedule position handles registrations, tours, rentals, and general customer service across community centers.

Hours are variable and may not exceed 29 per week or 1,040 per year. The role emphasizes in-person, phone, and email interactions with the public, and requires a background check, CPR/AED, and

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • 1 year of experience in customer service, sales, reception, retail, or related field.
  • Must pass required background check.
  • CPR/AED certification required.
  • Blood Pathogens Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality customer experience in-person, on the phone, and via email.
  • Perform cashiering functions including cash handling and card processing.
  • Assist with activity registrations and enrollment for programs.
  • Provide facility tours and rental information to prospective users.
  • Check-in for rentals; manage guidelines and oversee during events.
  • Set up/tear down for site activities and equipment as needed.
  • Complete data entry, financial and enrollment reports on request.
  • Handle difficult or sensitive customer relations situations.
