Job summary

JCS seeks a Community Engagement Program Coordinator in Providence, RI to bridge programs, volunteers, and community partners. You will recruit, train, and support volunteers and interns, coordinate placements, and maintain program data and communications.

You will collaborate with case management for senior-focused initiatives, draft guidelines, support marketing materials, and help expand donor engagement while upholding JCS values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related field highly preferred.
• Two or more years of supervisory or program coordination experience preferred.
• Three years of experience working with marginalized, elderly, or at-risk populations.
• Valid driver's license with access to a vehicle with adequate auto insurance coverage.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, interviews, screens, mentors, trains, and supervises volunteers and interns.
• Communicates with departments to identify opportunities and needs for Participants.
• Gathers information about participants' skills, availability, and goals; matches opportunities.
• Coordinates scheduling and assignments of participants to departments, supervisors, and mentors.
• Maintains regular communication with Participants to ensure good role fit.
• Coordinates volunteer recognition and related activities.
• Maintains volunteer databases and data quality; supports bulk emails via Constant Contact.
• Participates in volunteer budget development and monthly expenditures.
