Job summary

VOLIES is seeking a Community Engagement Project Coordinator to support corporate volunteering and local community initiatives in Northern Virginia. This full-time role requires coordinating events, building relationships with NGOs and corporate volunteers, and ensuring programs align with client goals.

The ideal candidate has a university degree in a related field and at least 3 years of experience in volunteerism or event management, with strong communication and project coordination skills.

Qualifications

• University degree in Event Management, Political Science, Communications, Public Relations, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Volunteerism, community engagement, social impact positions, event management
• Strong project coordination, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Background in project management
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in corporate environments
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main local contact for in-person volunteer events across Northern Virginia, coordinating delivery and driving participation.
• Develop relationships with external vendors, community stakeholders, nonprofits, and corporate volunteers.
• Plan and implement community-based programs aligned with client objectives.
• Use newsletters, social media, blogs, and emails to promote employee involvement.
• Support planning and admin tasks for volunteer events execution.
• Measure and report program outcomes and social impact.
• Occasional travel to other US cities for team offsites.
• Evening and weekend event work may be required and compensated.
