Job summary

Access Services in Pottsville, PA, is seeking a Community Participation Supports Lead Direct Support Professional to join a team helping adults with intellectual disabilities and autism live meaningful lives in their communities. The role combines hands-on direct support in homes and in the community with leadership duties, onboarding, coaching, and ensuring program compliance, under supervision.

Regular travel across Schuylkill, Monroe, and Carbon counties is essential; a valid driver’s license

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Two years of direct care experience with individuals with IDD.
• Valid US driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assist with onboarding, training, and client coverage needs.
• Promote current trends and philosophies within Human Services.
• Ensure compliance with local, county, and state regulatory agencies.
• Collaborate with the Supervisor when coaching other DSPs on their performance.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented attitude among staff and families.
• Travel regularly within the service area (Schuylkill, Monroe, Carbon counties).
