Job summary

Access Services is hiring a Community Participation Supports Lead Direct Support Professional to work with a team that supports adults with intellectual disabilities and autism to build meaningful, connected lives in their communities.

As Lead DSP you will provide direct support in homes and community settings, assist with onboarding, training, coaching, and program compliance, and help implement each individual’s Plan of Care and Person-Centered Support Plan.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, special education, counseling, social work or gerontology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Supervisor with onboarding, training, and client coverage needs.
• Promote current trends/philosophies in Human Services.
• Ensure compliance with local, county, state regulatory agencies.
• Coach other DSPs on performance.
• Build positive team culture and collaborate with families and community partners.
• Communicate effectively with Supervisor and staff.
• Travel regularly to support individuals and meet program goals.
