Sieda Community Action's Economic and Family Support Services unit seeks an Economic Support Specialist I in Fairfield. The role manages LIHEAP and related programs at the Jefferson County office, with occasional travel to nearby counties.

Typical hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of public-facing experience, and comfortable use of standard program software.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED is required; Some College or vocational/technical training preferred.
• Requires 1 year of experience working with the public; knowledge of poverty-related issues is a plus.
• Moderate computer knowledge and ability to use program software with minimal training; basic maintenance skills.

Responsabilidades

• Operate daily economic programs in the county resource centers (LIHEAP, ECIP, referrals).
• Open/close Resource Centers independently in outer counties when needed.
• Advocate with utility companies to arrange financial assistance for utilities.
• Process applications and income eligibility for Sieda programs.
• Coordinate coverage across seven counties during emergencies or staff vacancies.
