ICES: Data, Discovery, Better Health in Newport News, VA seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join its Community Engagement team. You will support individuals during outings, promote social interaction, and help with transportation, while respecting dignity and person-centered plans.

We offer immediate openings with fast interviews and flexible schedules (part-time and PRN). Join a supportive team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of people we serve.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to pass required background checks.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to assist individuals in community settings for extended periods.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow care plans and organizational policies.
• Caring, patient, and reliable personality.
• Experience is preferred but not required (we will train the right candidate).

Responsabilités

• Support individuals during community outings, activities, and appointments
• Encourage social interaction, skill-building, and independence
• Provide safe transportation to and from community activities as needed
• Promote choice, dignity, and respect in all interactions
• Follow individualized service plans and safety guidelines
• Accurately document services and participation
