Job summary

Support Services of Virginia is seeking Community Engagement DSPs to provide community-based services to individuals with developmental disabilities across Coastal Virginia. You will help them build daily living skills, relationships, and community involvement.

The role offers flexible hours (daytime and weekends) with training, wage progression after certification, and a supportive team in a growing organization. Applicants must meet background checks and certification requirements.

Qualifications

• Proof of highest level of education.
• Able to pass criminal/registry background checks and tuberculosis screening.
• Maintains First Aid/CPR/AED certification and Medicaid Waiver Certification, and Direct Support Professional Core Competencies.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Preferred: Reliable personal vehicle with business-use insurance.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision; willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide community-based services to individuals with developmental disabilities in Coastal Virginia.
• Support individuals in acquiring, retaining, or improving social and interpersonal skills.
• Help build natural supports by locating and facilitating community relationships.
