Job summary

Harmony Senior Services, LLC, at Harmony at Anderson in Cincinnati, Ohio, is seeking a full-time Cook to prepare meals per approved menus and recipes while accommodating residents' dietary needs. You will supervise dietary staff in the absence of the Dining Services Director and ensure safe, sanitary kitchen operations.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean work area, portion control, reporting faulty equipment and temperatures, and assisting in training new dietary staff.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in dining services.
• Must be Serv-Safe certified, or be willing to complete certification within 60 days of hire.
• Basic understanding of food service operations including familiarity with other dietary position duties.
• Must possess the ability to read, write, and make simple calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present menu items according to standard recipes.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area at all times.
• Supervise dietary staff in the absence of Dining Services Director.
• Attend required in-service and staff meetings.
• Take and record food temperatures three times daily.
• Monitor and control portion sizes to minimize food waste.
• Make appropriate menu substitutions with approval of Dining Services Director.
