Job summary

City of Round Rock’s Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a Digital & Social Media Coordinator to elevate visibility and engagement for programs and initiatives. You will craft content, manage SMO, and lead video production to tell community stories across platforms.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience, with strong storytelling and social media expertise. A Texas driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; additional education may substitute for experience on a year-per-year basis.
• Three (3) years of relevant experience; additional experience may substitute for education on a year-per-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage digital marketing strategy including social media management, website updates, email marketing, and digital advertising.
• Create compelling community-focused content and coordinating with residents, partners, and businesses.
• Lead video content production and edits, including promotional videos and short-form reels.
• Track analytics to measure performance and refine campaigns; prepare departmental reports.
• Engage with audiences and respond to inquiries to strengthen brand presence.
• Coordinate with partners and influencers to expand reach and build meaningful collaborations.
