Job summary

Lorain County Health & Dentistry is seeking a Dentist to join our team in Lorain, OH. This full-time/part-time professional role involves comprehensive dental care, patient education, and collaboration with a diverse patient population.

The ideal candidate will hold a Dental degree, be licensed in Ohio, and have BLS certification. Experience in a nonprofit community health setting and proficiency with NextGen, EPM, and EHR systems are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have a Dental degree and be licensed to practice in Ohio.
• Must maintain continuing education per State Board of Dental Examiners.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Review patient’s oral history and current conditions.
• Examine oral cavity for signs of disease, neglect or trauma.
• Perform routine checkups and radiographs as needed.
• Diagnose and define treatment plans or refer to specialists.
• Educate patients on oral health practices and recommendations.
• Mentor other dental team members to improve patient care.
