Job summary

Integral Care in Travis County, Texas is hiring a Crisis Intervention Specialist (CIS) to support individuals with IDD and co-occurring mental health needs. The CIS provides assessments, skills training, and cross-system collaboration to prevent or manage crises.

This is a community-based, full-time role requiring a valid driver's license and work in various settings (homes, group homes, hospitals, shelters).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience with IDD and mental health.
• Current driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide coping skills to manage symptoms or crises.
• Support systems to obtain services (school, medical, housing, etc.).
• Conduct assessments like CSSR and Discovery Tool to tailor care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan and implement services.
