Job summary

The Indian Boundary YMCA in Downers Grove, IL is hiring a full-time Community Concierge, Manager on Duty to support the concierge team at the local Community Hub and deliver exceptional customer experiences. We aim to empower our community by creating a welcoming, safe environment and helpful services that foster growth.

As Manager on Duty you will greet members, handle inquiries by phone and email, oversee front-desk operations, monitor safety, and partner with local leadership to keep spaces

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Mon-Fri 1:00pm-9:00pm.
• Serve as Manager on Duty and provide operational leadership, including front-desk operations, attendance and administration.
• Greet community members and guests and make them feel welcome and engaged.
• Monitor Community Hub for safety and service interventions and act as first responder for emergencies.
• Answer phones and email inquiries.
• Manage customer transactions and resolve opportunities and concerns.
• Support facility operations with leadership to keep spaces clean and record maintenance issues.
• Anticipate individuals' needs to provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and order new stock as needed.
