Job summary

MissionCare at Bennington is seeking a part-time Community Concierge for evening and overnight shifts (4pm-12am and 12am-8am) with weekend coverage to uphold the facility's safety programs and regulatory standards. The role includes signing in/out visitors, conducting routine searches, coordinating room changes, and serving as a gatekeeper and safety liaison.

Requires at least one year in security and ability to work with ill/elderly residents, in a diverse environment, with strong English

Qualifications

• A minimum of one year security experience, preferred.
• Familiarity with skilled nursing facilities, preferred.
• Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and hostile individuals.
• Must be able to multitask and collaborate across disciplines in a diverse environment.
• Must be able to speak and write English.

Responsibilities

• Maintains sign in/ sign out log and ensures all visitors and residents sign in and out.
• Performs full and random house/ room searches to identify predispositions and LOAs.
• Facilitates room changes and checks.
• Ensures safety status forms are used and updated.
• Coordinates with Social Services for safety checks upon resident admission.
• Acts as gatekeeper to prevent residents without privileges from leaving the facility.
• Performs wander guard and window checks.
• Notifies departments of special security instructions.
• Reports known or suspected incidents of fraud or resident abuse to the Administrator.
• Maintains high level of customer service and directs individuals appropriately.

Job Description

The primary purpose of this position is to implement and uphold the facility’s safety programs in accordance with federal, state, and facility standards, guidelines and regulations, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to assure that resident and employee safety can be maintained through appropriate safety measures.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains sign in/ sign out log. Makes sure all visitors and residents sign in and out.
• Performs full and random house/ room searches proactively to identify predispositions and LOA’s
• Facilitates room change procedures/ checks
• Ensures safety status forms are utilized and status updates are appropriate
• Coordinates with Social Services for safety checks upon resident admission
• Resident gatekeeper, ensuring residents without privileges do not leave the facility.
• Performs wander guard and window checks
• Notifies appropriate department when special security instructions are received.
• Reports known or suspected incidents of fraud or resident abuse to the Administrator
• Maintains high level of customer service, smiling greeting, and directing individuals to appropriate places.
