The City of Buda is seeking a Communications Specialist to support public information, community engagement, and destination promotion within the Community Relations and Destination Services Department. You will create clear, engaging content across the City’s channels, including social media and the website, and develop visual materials through graphic design, photography, and video.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, graphic design, marketing, or a related field.
• At least three years of progressively responsible experience in communications, social media management, graphic design, or related.
• Experience creating and managing digital communications with social media analytics and website CMS.
• Experience in emergency or public safety communications is preferred.

Mansioni

• Develop and maintain social media plans and content calendars.
• Create, edit, publish content across City platforms to engage the community.
• Monitor social channels for questions and concerns and respond or escalate as needed.
• Write, edit and update website content; optimize for SEO and accessibility.
• Produce graphics, infographics, photos, and video for outreach and promotion.
• Coordinate with departments to gather information for newsletters and communications.
• Assist with press materials and emergency messaging in coordination with the PIO.
• Monitor analytics to assess reach and engagement and report KPIs.
