Job summary

University City Police Department seeks a Compliance Officer to enforce nuisance ordinances, identifying and resolving grass, garbage, illegal-vehicle and other nuisance violations. The role is 50/50 office and field, with travel between locations.

The position is full-time and onsite, offering a salary of $53,333.59 annually. A high school diploma, excellent communication, and a valid driver's license are required; prior public-facing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Current & valid driver's license.
• Experience working with the public in challenging circumstances.
• 2-3 years of related experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine patrols and nuisance inspections.
• Notifies property owners of nuisance violations.
• Maintains department files and documents violations.
• Prepares violation reports and follows up as needed.
• Attends Administrative Adjudication court as necessary.
• Enforces city ordinances with firmness and impartiality.
