Gulfshoresal is seeking a Code Enforcement Officer to support the city's enforcement of land use, development, and sanitation codes. The role involves inspecting premises, educating violators, and issuing notices of violations as needed.
You will handle complaints, maintain case records, and may testify in Municipal Court. The position may require evenings or weekends, with occasional fieldwork and independent work under supervision.
Under general supervision, the Code Enforcement Officer performs a variety of technical duties in support of the City's local code enforcement program; monitors and enforces a variety of applicable ordinances, codes, and regulations; provides customer education and enforcement of all municipal ordinances dealing with land use, development, and sanitation codes; and serves as a resource to provide information on City regulations.
