Job summary

The Macon-Bibb County Government is seeking a Community Center Supervisor to oversee diversified leisure, athletics, senior and cultural activities and the centers' facilities. You will plan, organize, and conduct recreational programming and develop strategic plans for the recreation center.

Responsibilities include training and supervising staff, budgeting, ensuring quality programs, measuring success via surveys, and coordinating volunteers. CPRP certification and a BA degree are required.

Qualifications

• The role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Recreation and Parks Administration, or a related field and at least four years of recreation programming experience.
• Must possess a CPRP certification.
• Ability to recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate staff.
• Ability to develop budgets and manage expenditures for programs and facilities.
• Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate diversified recreation programs for all ages.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, conducts, and oversees recreational programming at a recreation center.
• Develops strategic plans for the recreation center.
• Trains, supervises, monitors and evaluates staff at the assigned recreation center.
• Prepares and recommends budget for areas of responsibility and directs approved expenditures for programs and facilities.
• Ensures quality programs for athletics, cultural, educational, and adaptive and leisure activities.
• Measures the success of each program and activity through customer surveys and other appropriate methods.
• Assembles reports and prepares statistical information related to the recreation center.
• Directs facility program and activity modifications and improvements.
• Assists in recruiting, selecting, and evaluating center personnel.
• Institutes a comprehensive volunteer program within each community center and for special events.
• Ensures facilities and equipment are safeguarded and monitored by the department standard and ensures county and departmental policies are followed.
