Job summary

The Macon-Bibb County Government is seeking a Community Center Coordinator I to assist with supervising and conducting leisure activities at the assigned community recreation center. The role involves organizing activities, scheduling facility use, and leading programs for all ages.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, a Bachelor's Degree in Parks and Recreation, and at least two years of full-time experience in parks/recreational programming.

Qualifications

• Valid Georgia driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting and supervising parks/recreational activities (sports, tournaments, arts).
• Assist in supervising, scheduling and coordinating the use of centers, parks and facilities.
• Lead and organize parks/recreational activities for all ages.
• Assist in supervising personnel and volunteers.
• Assist with maintenance and safety issues.
• Assist in collecting and reporting fees.
• Assist in keeping records and reporting.
• Make budget recommendations for center operations.
• Complete special projects and other duties as required.
• Oversee daily operation of recreation programs and facilities; may lead classes.
• May work beyond normal hours during inclement weather or emergencies.
