Job summary

The City of Merriam – Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a Guest Services Coordinator to manage daily customer service activities at the community center and support the director and staff. Responsibilities include handling inquiries on amenities, memberships, and registrations, along with general clerical duties. The role also involves supervising attendants and providing day-to-day support.

The regular schedule runs Monday–Thursday 12:45 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday 11:45 a.m.

Qualifications

• One year of administrative support work experience.
• Six months experience working directly with the public in the customer service field.
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily customer service activities of the community center.
• Assist with facility amenities, membership sales and program registration.
• Provide clerical and administrative support for department staff.
• Supervise facility attendants and program attendants as needed.
