Job summary

The City of Overland Park is seeking a part-time Assistant Supervisor, Community Center to oversee the community center building, assist patrons with facility use, and support opening and closing procedures.

The role requires 2 years in a fast-paced customer service setting, a high school diploma (or equivalent), 18+ age, and strong communication. Training and supervisory duties are included, with a flexible schedule during business hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One to two years college level courses preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Supervises community center building and assists patrons in the use of the community center.
• Assists the Community Center Supervisor in the supervision and training of community center attendants.
• Coordinates with Community Center Supervisor on set-up of facilities for recreational purposes.
• Assists Leisure Services front office and Control Desk during times of heavy usage, and as needed.
• Assist Building Maintenance staff with small tasks and communicate with building maintenance on building repair needs.
