Job summary

The Cesar Chavez Foundation is seeking a Community Service Coordinator to oversee Si Se Puede Community Center programs, including afterschool activities, resident social services, meal distribution, and health outreach. This role requires engaging with residents, volunteers, and student interns to plan and execute effective community services.

Strong emphasis on outreach, partnership building, and maintaining accurate records in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

At least 48 college credits or related experience in Education/Youth Development/Community Services.
Preferably bilingual.
Knowledge of MS Office (Word/Excel/Access).
Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Live scan fingerprint/background check required.
TB test negative within last 2 years.
Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
Must commute between sites.
First Aid/CPR/AED certified (or obtain within 30 days).
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects as required for transportation, setting up activities.
Ability to create partnerships to ensure site/programming requirements are met.
Essential Worker position (no work from home).

Responsibilities

Maintain ethical practices by serving the community with professionalism.
Manage Si Se Puede Community Center Programs: Afterschool, Resident Social Services, Meal Distribution, Health and Wellness, Community Outreach.
Create a welcoming environment for members and visitors.
Maintain records and compile comprehensive reports.
