Job description

The Community Care Specialist at The Geneva Suites is a relationship-driven, revenue-generating role that builds referral partnerships across the Twin Cities and guides families from first inquiry through move-in with clarity, urgency, and compassion, growing private-pay occupancy across the company's residential assisted living homes.

ABOUT THE GENEVA SUITES

The Geneva Suites provides small, residential assisted living homes throughout the Twin Cities, with locations in Bloomington, Burnsville, Eagan, Edina, and Eden Prairie. The Geneva Suites specializes in higher-acuity care in a true home setting, where dignity, safety, and meaningful engagement come first. Its mission is simple: build exceptional teams through CARES to enhance lives. The team operates by the C.A.R.E.S. core values (Can-Do Attitude, Accountability for Actions, Respectful Collaboration, Education is a Priority, and Safety First) and hires people who Get It, Want It, and have the Capacity for It.

SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
  • Private-pay occupancy across all five homes is growing, with qualified inquiries moving to tours, assessments, and move-ins on a steady, predictable timeline.

  • Every family and referral partner has one consistent point of contact, every follow-up happens on time, and the CRM shows exactly where each prospective resident stands.
OBJECTIVES
  • Secure private-pay resident move-ins by converting qualified inquiries into tours, assessments, and admissions.
  • Build and maintain referral networks with traditional sources (hospitals, TCUs, assisted living communities, discharge planners, social workers) and nontraditional sources (wealth managers, fiduciaries, churches, community leaders).
  • Network in person on a consistent basis near Geneva Suites locations and represent the company at community events, meetings, and professional gatherings.
  • Respond promptly to every inquiry from families and referral partners.
  • Conduct private tours of Geneva Suites homes with empathy and confidence, and guide families through assessments and admissions steps.
  • Use active listening and discovery to understand each family's care needs, priorities, financial considerations, and decision timeline.
  • Clearly communicate what sets The Geneva Suites apart: care ratios, home environments, and a resident-centered model.
  • Serve as the consistent point of contact from first inquiry through move-in, coordinating follow-up promptly and personally.
  • Track inquiries, referral sources, tours, and follow-up actions in the CRM so no prospective resident or partner relationship is overlooked.
  • Travel regularly between Geneva Suites locations and referral partner sites, with limited company-paid travel outside Minnesota.
COMPETENCIES

  • Referral Relationship Building: Develops and keeps professional networks with hospitals, discharge planners, social workers, senior living communities, fiduciaries, and community organizations.
  • Emotional Intelligence: Supports families through difficult care decisions with empathy, patience, and clear communication.
  • Discovery and Listening: Uncovers family priorities, care needs, financial considerations, and timelines to guide the right next step.
  • Value Communication: Explains the Geneva Suites model, care ratios, and home environment in a way families and partners remember.
  • Pipeline Discipline: Follows up on every inquiry, referral, tour, and assessment on time and keeps the pipeline organized.
  • Self-Direction: Motivated by measurable outcomes such as move-ins, occupancy growth, and new referral sources.
  • Community Presence: Comfortable networking, speaking publicly, and representing the organization in the community.
