The Outreach Team in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking Community Canvassers and Team Leaders to engage voters through door-to-door outreach through Election Day. This is a full-time or part-time role with immediate start date.

Positions pay $23–$25 per hour and include bonuses, overtime pay, driver bonuses, shift bonuses, paid training, sick pay, and referral bonuses. Shifts run 12PM–8PM Tuesday–Sunday with possible advancement.

Qualifications

• Passionate about progressive politics and fostering democracy.
• Strong communication skills; enjoy speaking with people.
• Hard worker with motivation to engage as many voters as possible.
• Open to new challenges and campaign skill building.
• Culturally competent and able to engage respectfully with communities.
• Prior canvassing experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Engage with the public in a friendly and respectful manner.
• Deliver a compelling campaign message and collect complete survey answers from voters.
• Participate in staff training to improve outreach skills.
• Follow the campaign's safety protocols.
• Manage a small group of canvassers out in the field and debrief daily.
• Ensure each canvasser has materials needed to be successful.
• Assist directors with canvasser training and administrative work.

Hiring Immediately - $23-25/hr + bonuses

Full-time & Part-time

Help us turn out voters in Florida to get out the vote and win! Grassroots efforts are ramping up and we are looking for a team of canvassers to help us reach voters who deserve a voice in this election. From now through Election Day, our team is connecting directly with voters on the ground through door-to-door outreach. We will be supporting candidates who champion progressive values and our shared vision for the future, encouraging people to get out and vote for progressive leaders down the ticket.

This role is a great opportunity to gain experience in the following areas: Leadership, Communication & Advocacy, Community Outreach & Engagement, Campaign Work, Public Policy, and Social Enterprise.

Get paid well! Canvassing positions start at $ 23 /hour. Team Lead positions start at $25/hour. We offer overtime pay, driver bonuses, shift bonuses, paid training, sick pay, and bonuses for friend referrals.

Locations: Fort Lauderdale, FL

We are hiring immediately, all positions run through November 3 with possibilities for advancement afterwards. Shifts run from 12PM - 8PM Tuesday - Sunday with the possibility to work part-time or full-time.

• The Canvasser Responsibilities plus:
• Manage a small group of canvassers out in the field by checking in with them periodically throughout the day, and debriefing with them at the end of the day

• Assist directors with canvasser training and administrative work
