Job summary

The Outreach Team in Fort Lauderdale, FL is hiring Community Canvassers to engage voters and promote pro-choice candidates. Roles are available as full-time or part-time with starting pay at $21 per hour, rising to $23 per hour, and leadership tracks at $25 per hour.

Overtime pay and bonus opportunities are offered. Locations include Fort Lauderdale, and shifts run in the afternoons and evenings through early November.

Community Canvassers - Hiring Immediately - $21-25/hr + bonuses

Full-time & Part-time

Help us turn out voters in Florida to get out the vote and win! Access to quality health care is a human right, that's why were working to elect candidates in Florida who will protect reproductive rights and the services.

We will be doing door to door voter contact work educating voters about pro-choice candidates in Fort Lauderdale.

This role is a great opportunity to gain experience in the following areas: Leadership, Communication & Advocacy, Community Outreach & Engagement, Campaign Work, Public Policy, and Social Enterprise.

Get paid well! Canvassing positions start at $21/hr for your first 3 shifts. After that, pay goes up to $23/hr. Leadership positions start at $25/hr. We offer overtime pay, and many bonus opportunities.

Locations: Ft. Lauderdale, FL

We are hiring immediately, all positions run through November 3rd. Shifts run from 12pm - 7:30pm weekdays and weekends with the possibility to work part-time or full-time.

Canvasser Responsibilities ($23/hr):

• Engage with the public in a friendly and respectful manner
• Deliver a compelling campaign message, and collect complete survey answers from voters
• Participate in staff training to improve outreach skills
• Follow the campaign's safety protocols

The ideal candidate:

• Passionate about progressive politics and fostering democracy
• Strong communication skills; you should enjoy working with other people and be willing and excited to speak with everyone
• Hard worker who will stay motivated to engage as many people as possible
• Open to new challenges and are interested in building their campaign skills
• Culturally competent and able to respectfully engage with teammates and the community
• Prior canvassing experience is preferred, but not required.
