Job summary

The Outreach Team in Minneapolis, MN is hiring Community Canvassers and Team Leaders to support voter outreach through door-to-door canvassing and surveys. Roles include frontline canvassing and leading small teams, with emphasis on respectful engagement and campaign safety.

Canvassers start at $22/hr with increases after shifts; team leads begin at $26/hr, with overtime and bonus opportunities. Shifts run 12pm–7:30pm, through Nov 3rd.

Community Canvassers and Team Leaders
Hiring Immediately - $22-26/hr + bonuses
Full-time & Part-time

Help us turn out voters in Minnesota to get out the vote and win! Access to quality health care is a human right, and Planned Parenthood works to elect candidates in Minnesota who will protect reproductive rights and the services Planned Parenthood provides.

We will be doing door to door voter contact work educating voters about critical state legislative districts in the Twin Cities metro area.

This role is a great opportunity to gain experience in the following areas: Leadership, Communication & Advocacy, Community Outreach & Engagement, Campaign Work, Public Policy, and Social Enterprise.

Get paid well!

Canvassing positions start at $22/hr for your first 3 shifts. After that, pay goes up to $24/hr. Team Lead positions start at $26/hr. We offer overtime pay, and many bonus opportunities.

Locations:

Minneapolis, MN

We are hiring immediately, all positions run through November 3rd. Shifts run from 12pm - 7:30pm weekdays and weekends with the possibility to work part-time or full-time.

• Engage with the public in a friendly and respectful manner
• Deliver a compelling campaign message, and collect complete survey answers from voters
• Participate in staff training to improve outreach skills
• Follow the campaign's safety protocols
• The Canvasser Responsibilities plus:
• Manage a small group of canvassers out in the field by checking in with them periodically throughout the day, and debriefing with them at the end of the day
• Ensure each canvasser has all of the materials they need to be successful
• Assist directors with canvasser training and administrative work

The ideal candidate:

• Passionate about progressive politics and fostering democracy
• Strong communication skills; you should enjoy working with other people and be willing and excited to speak with everyone
• Hard worker who will stay motivated to engage as many people as possible
• Open to new challenges and are interested in building their campaign skills
• Culturally competent and able to respectfully engage with teammates and the community
• Prior canvassing experience is preferred, but not required
