Job summary

Avalon Housing in Ann Arbor, MI seeks a Dunbar Tower Community Builder to oversee community programming at the Dunbar Miller sites and triage tenant needs.

You will facilitate on-site activities, coordinate outreach, respond to crises, and advocate for tenants while maintaining welcoming, accessible centers.

Qualifications include 1+ year in human services, ServeSafe/CPR (certifications can be earned after hire), and a BA in social/behavioral science preferred. Flexible hours are required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in human services with homeless populations or similar
• ServeSafe and CPR/First Aid AED certifications (can be completed upon hiring)
• BA degree in social/behavioral science preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide client triage and ongoing support to tenants
• Coordinate and promote on-site activities and community meetings
• Respond to tenant concerns and provide crisis intervention as needed
• Manage weekly food pantry and maintain welcoming community center
• Advocate for tenants and connect them with external resources
• Complete documentation per program guidelines
