Job summary

Connex Credit Union seeks an Assistant Branch Manager to deliver outstanding member service and identify financial solutions to improve members’ lives. The role leads branch growth, mentors staff, and ensures smooth daily operations while supporting community outreach and business development.

The position requires supervisory experience, familiarity with consumer banking regulations, and a focus on advocacy, sales, and service excellence within a community-oriented credit union.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 1 year retail sales management or branch experience.
• 1 year interviewing experience in consumer loans and related insurances.
• 2 years of direct supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations governing consumer banking.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze member problems and find beneficial solutions quickly.
• Continued education through selected training courses.
• Provides coverage for other branches when needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead branch team through coaching on sales and service skills.
• Grow branch profitability via retail and commercial member relationships.
• Oversee daily branch operations and security procedures.
• Drive branch reporting and performance metrics with the Branch Manager.
• Mentor New Account Representatives and ensure adequate staffing.
• Develop local business relationships to grow community presence.
• Assist in approvals and overrides when necessary.
• Support goal attainment strategies and quality control across the branch.
