Job summary

Community Counseling of Bristol County seeks a Therapeutic Mentor to serve Taunton/Attleboro area. You will provide one-to-one intervention and skill-building to youth ages 7 to 21 in community settings, supporting self-management and emotional regulation.

Position requires a Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or related field and at least one year of experience; a valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field.
• One year of experience working with children and families; volunteer and internship experience will be considered.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Must possess good organizational skills, as well as effective verbal, written and computer skills.
• Proficiency with computers including ability to use or learn to use an electronic health record system, audio-visual communication technology

Responsibilities

• Meet one to one with youth in community settings
• Develop treatment plans in collaboration with the outpatient therapists, Intensive Care Coordinators and/or In-Home Therapists
• Support the youth in developing goals in identified skill building areas
• Consult with schools, outpatient providers and psychiatric providers to support the youth’s ongoing treatment needs
• Identify community supports and activities to engage youth in skill building goals
• Provide flexibility and creativity in engaging youth of varying developmental levels
• Meet all documentation requirements of the agency and TM program specifications
