Job summary

Community Counseling of Bristol County is seeking Bachelor’s level candidates to join our Therapeutic Mentoring program serving the Taunton/Attleboro area. Therapeutic Mentors provide one-to-one intervention and skill-building to youth, ages 7 to 21, to address daily living, social, communication and emotional regulation challenges.

TM’s meet youth in the community to support self-management, problem-solving and conflict-resolution, while engaging youth in varied activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or related field.
• One year of experience working with children and families; volunteer/internship counts.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Good organizational skills and written/verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with computers and EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Meet one-to-one with youth in community settings.
• Develop treatment plans with outpatient therapists and other staff.
• Support youth in developing goals in skill areas.
• Consult with schools and providers to support treatment needs.
• Identify community supports for skill-building activities.
• Provide flexible and creative engagement for youth.
• Meet documentation requirements of the agency and TM program.
