Job summary

Behavioral Health Network (BHN) is seeking a Therapeutic Mentor to support youth and families in the greater Springfield area. You will provide structured one-on-one support, reinforce treatment goals, and help youths succeed at home, school, and in the community.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or higher, 2+ years’ experience with children, and knowledge of behavioral health. Massachusetts driver’s license is required, with mileage reimbursement and ongoing professional development

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree required.
• At least 2 years of experience working with children.
• Experience with Serious Emotional Disturbance strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of behavioral health and child/adolescent development.
• Massachusetts driver's license and reliable vehicle required.
• Comfortable with word processing, email, and documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Teach and model social, coping, and problem-solving skills.
• Provide coaching to encourage positive behavior change and personal growth.
• Collaborate with clinicians, caregivers, schools, and community partners.
• Help youth develop independent living skills and self-confidence.
• Help families navigate behavioral health systems and access resources.
• Document services and progress in a timely manner.
• Participate in supervision, treatment planning, and ongoing training.
