Job summary

Community Counseling of Bristol County (CCBC) is seeking Bachelor’s level candidates to join our Therapeutic Mentoring program serving the Taunton/Attleboro area. Therapeutic Mentors provide one-to-one intervention and skill-building to youth aged 7–21, addressing daily living, social, communication and emotional regulation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field.
• One year of experience working with children and families; volunteer and internship experience will be considered.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Must possess good organizational skills, as well as effective verbal, written and computer skills.
• Proficiency with computers including ability to use or learn to use an electronic health record system, audio-visual communication technology.

Responsibilities

• Meet one to one with youth in community settings.
• Develop treatment plans in collaboration with the outpatient therapists, Intensive Care Coordinators and/or In-Home Therapists.
• Support the youth in developing goals in identified skill building areas.
• Consult with schools, outpatient providers and psychiatric providers to support the youth’s ongoing treatment needs.
• Identify community supports and activities to engage youth in skill building goals.
• Provide flexibility and creativity in engaging youth of varying developmental levels.
• Meet all documentation requirements of the agency and TM program specifications.
