Job summary

Jay Nolan Community Services in Los Angeles, CA is hiring a part-time Job Coach to support adults with developmental disabilities in community employment settings. You will coach tasks, promote workplace skills, and help with interviews and onboarding while building confidence and independence.

You’ll collaborate with case managers and staff to deliver individualized service plans, maintain records, and advocate for inclusive opportunities in the workplace. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of one year in human services or six months with Jay Nolan Community Services.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel.
• Ability to communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support to adults with developmental disabilities in community employment settings.
• Coach individuals on job tasks, workplace expectations and professional skills.
• Assist in interviews and onboarding processes.
• Help develop independence and confidence in the workplace.
• Build positive relationships with employers, coworkers, families, and support teams.
• Monitor progress toward employment goals and document outcomes.
• Advocate for consumers and promote inclusive employment opportunities.
• Collaborate with case managers and program staff on service plans.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation, reports, and billing records.
• Participate in training and staff meetings.
